Reading month is always fun, and the sounds of so many pages excitedly being turned can likely be heard all the way to Heaven! There are a variety of activities planned, and the students are setting some serious goals for the next 30 days. Parents and families can get in on the action too. Get creative: Set a family challenge or goal. Make a trip to the library. Have fun with it and encourage your readers!

The National Catholic Education Association just released its newest Fast Facts on Catholic education. It reminds us that sending our kids to Divine Providence Academy is truly an investment, that pays off big returns! Kids who attend Catholic schools are are more likely to attend college, nearly 20% more likely to receive a bachelors degree, and earn more than their non-Catholic school counterparts after graduation. They are more likely to give back to their communities through service, are more civically engaged, more tolerant of diverse views and are even more likely to vote.
